Open water alert!
The Kennebec river crossing near the Skowhegan high school is UNSAFE TO CROSS !!! PLEASE STAY OFF THE RIVER AND STAY SAFE.
Our club was formed in 1974. During the 2015-2016 season our membership totaled 65 members. We own a 1200 sq. ft. clubhouse and a 1232 sq. ft equipment storage building on 1 acre of land on Route 2 just 4 miles east of Skowhegan.
The Club owns two large groomers to maintain our 36 miles of trails in Skowhegan and approximately 20 miles in the notch area. The Sno-Hawks acquire permission from more than 125 landowners for trail use. Thank you Landowners for your support!
In addition to the trails, we maintain 16 bridges to enable winter water crossings.
Speaking of maintaining trails and bridges, there is always a lot to do in order to maintain a good trail system before the season starts. We could use any help that you would like to offer. Please contact George, or our Club Trailmasters, or any of our officers. See our Club Officers section in our website for phone numbers. We meet at the clubhouse each Sunday morning at 08:00 AM and work to about noon for the months of October, November, and December.
If you have anything that you would like put on this website or have ideas, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org
Hope to see you on the trails!
